LONG BEACH, CA., October 15, 2026 — Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA) announces today that American Sailing has signed on to be the title sponsor for its annual women’s sailing convention, February 5-7, 2027, to be hosted by Alamitos Bay Yacht Club, in Long Beach, CA. This collaboration builds upon the legacy and mission of both organizations, expanding the quality and reach of sailing-related education for women of all ages, backgrounds, and areas of interest. More than 30 sessions over two days will be offered across beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels, and each one is taught in the classroom, at the dock, or on the water.

Each year, sessions fill-up fast. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP for priority registration HERE (https://forms.gle/gtG3x7CYXhL42GvH8)—those who RSVP will have a week to register for the convention ahead of the public and have first pick of popular sessions and desired schedule.
