Year club founded: 1983
Year club joined SCYA: 1986

Total: 400 members – 50% power, 50% sail.

Facilities: Office open Tues., Wed., Thurs., 9am- 6pm; Fri. & Sat. 11am-8pm. Open 0600-2400 daily for members and guests. Bar open Friday and Saturday evenings. Dinner served Friday and Saturday; Brunch served Sunday. Guest slips by reservation.

Membership: Memberships currently available. Boat ownership and two sponsors required for Regular Membership.

Initiation fee: $1,000. Monthly dues: $72. Shore memberships (Discounted initiation fee) and Racing membership ($150.00 yr) also available.

Comments: SYC is a very active boating club offering a wide variety of social events, outstanding Cruising, Diving and Anglers pro- grams, and one of the best Education Programs in Southern California. In addition, SYC is proud of their Cruiser Navigation program as well as a very active, spirited sail racing program. SYC is the mainland host club for the Bi-annual Transpac Yacht Race and the host of the Classic Yacht Festival. SCYA Associate Club of the Year for 1994, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
