SCYA Corinthian Leadership Seminar

This is a new, SCYA member-driven seminar designed for Flags, Board of Directors, those in appointed positions, in your leadership pipeline, or people interested in exploring volunteering for leadership roles in the future. All are welcome to attend.

The overarching learning objective of this seminar is fostering effective teamwork between Flags, BoD and membership of Corinthian yachting organizations.

The seminar will have three sessions:

1. Corinthian Leadership

2. Fostering Effective Teams

3. Robert’s Rules of Order

In addition, there will be hands-on exercises to practice concepts as we move along throughout the day. This event will also be a wonderful opportunity to network with leadership from other SCYA member organizations.

9:00am – 2:00pm seminar

COST:          $35 per person, includes light breakfast and lunch

Breakfast: Build your own Yogurt Parfait (yogurt, granola, fruit), pastries, coffee setup.

Lunch: Irish Stew served over mashed potatoes / vegetable stroganoff/ salad / cookies

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY

Seal Beach Yacht Club is holding a “Grill Your Own” (GYO) social event for its members and has graciously invited all SCYA Corinthian Leadership participants to join in! GYO will begin at 5pm and the cost is $12 pp payable at the bar. The club will be providing salad, rolls and baked potatoes. Everyone will use the BBQ grills on the patio to GYO. Bring your own protein securely wrapped and marked with your name (refrigerator space will be available.).
