Year club founded: 1989
Year club joined SCYA: 1993

Total: 94 members and families, mixed sail and power.

Facilities: Small dockside clubhouse open for meetings and social gatherings at Balboa Yacht Basin.Most of BBYC’s boats are located in Balboa Yacht Basin, 829 Harbor Island Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660. “Galley” restaurant at marina, other restaurants within walking distance. Boatyard and ship chandlery adjacent to marina.

Membership: Any person who can contribute to the interests of yachting shall be considered eligible for membership subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. First year’s dues are $450, thereafter annually $400

Comments: The Balboa Basin Yacht Club is a family-oriented cruising club with monthly activities consisting of cruises, parties and related events. Our members actively use their boats and are eager to pitch in and help any member who needs assistance or experience. The BBYC is a growing club and welcomes active new members!
