2020S SCYA Fleet Surgeon Michael Stone, MD
Dr. Stone is a UC Riverside undergrad and graduated from Des Moines University Medical School and Los Angeles County / USC Medical Center Residency in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Stone has been in practice for 28 years. Currently he is at Coast Plaza Hospital in Norwalk, Staff ER Doctor and Medical Director of Impact Drug and Alcohol Residential drug treatment program and Outpatient programs in Pasadena.

Michael A. Stone, MD
Dr. Stone is a California native. He attended undergrad at UCLA, and graduated from UC Irvine Medical School. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery training at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, followed by a year of specialty training in shoulder and elbow reconstructive surgery at the Rothman Orthopaedic Insitute in Philadelphia. He is currently a staff physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills where he treats shoulder and elbow disorders and teaches orthopaedic surgery to fellows, residents, and medical students. He lives in Glendale, CA with his wife and two sons.

Jerry R. Hughes MD FACEP
Dr. Hughes is a long time Long Beach area resident. He received his undergrad education at Orange Coast College, Cal State Long Beach, and University of California - Irvine School of Medicine. He is former Chief of Emergency Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital in Long Beach and Department of Emergency Medicine Director at Community Hospital of Long Beach. Prior to his medical practice of Emergency Medicine he spent 11 years as an ocean lifeguard at Seal Beach - responsible for about 150 swimming rescues - and was the USA Medical representative to the World Life Saving Association. He and his wife, Nancy, lived aboard a 43 foot sailboat for several years and have made 11 ocean
crossings.
