SCYA Commodores’ Cruise to Santa Barbara & Los Olivos September 23-25, 2022

CRUISE DETAILS:

Friday: Welcome Reception – Commodore Anne Eubanks will welcome you once you’ve settled in with a glass of wine and a little something to savor. Not included but recommended for all is to explore Santa Barbara and all it has to offer for dining. There are some wonderful options along State Street!

Saturday: The luxury party bus will arrive at 11:30 am to whisk us away to Downtown Los Olivos. There will be several recommended stops to taste wine, and there are many lovely boutiques and unique shops to enjoy.

Once everyone has roamed the quaint town of Los Olivos, we’ll head to Fess Parker Winery for a vintner’s tour of the vines and barrel room, and a wine tasting; followed by a 5-star, Michelin rated dinner by First and Oak. We’ll start with passed canapes prior to being seated, then onto nine selections that make up three courses in a family-style setting. Just to name a few passed plates are seared ahi tuna, the catch of the day, braised short ribs, and an award-wining wine cake and chocolate mousse to finish. Dinner is amazing as it is, but absolutely fabulous when paired with wines selected by Eli Parker, president of Fess Parker, wine maker…and commodore of Santa Barbara Yacht Club.

Sunday: Our fun continues with brunch at the newly renovated Santa Barbara Yacht Club where we’ll receive champagne upon arrival and enjoy a delicious meal. Brunch and champagne are included in the cruise fees, and there is a no-host bar available. Short rib eggs benedict and cedar plank miso black cod are just two of the specialty items served with brunch. If you haven’t been to Santa Barbara Yacht Club before or recently, this is an amazing venue perched majestically on the sand, and is a favorite yacht club destination among those that enjoy the benefits of reciprocal hospitality when traveling.

NOT INCLUDED:

Hotel accommodations are not part of the package. We have blocked rooms at two hotels in Santa Barbara that you can consider: Hotel Milo and Santa Barbara Quality Inn. The Port Captain will forward reservation information to book your room upon signing up for the cruise.

As mentioned above, dinner Friday night is no-host, as is wine tasting in Los Olivos.

CURRENLTY LIMITED TO 50 GUESTS! Reservations will not be accepted after September 16, 2022 in order to finalize transportation and catering details. Room Rates may change after August 31, 2022. Reservations will be confirmed once payment is received. We have secured transportation for 50 guests, so space is very limited. If there is enough interest, we will start a wait list and attempt to secure additional transportation based on total guests. Given September and October are harvest season, it is difficult to determine today what will be available. Also, rooms are becoming scarce! Our block of rooms is not indefinite! Rooms begin at $240/night.
