Get your Pirate ON

Dig out your pirate gear and DARE THE PIRATES’S LAIR; the SCYA’s Annual Commodore’s Cruise will be on October 18, 19, and 20, 2024 at Catalina Island Yacht Club in Avalon. Our member yacht clubs present Commodores and Staff Commodores, plus one, are invited to join us for a very festive and fun weekend. It isn’t often members of land based yacht clubs get to enjoy the CIYC facility, so this weekend will be very special in many ways.

FRIDAY NOON: No Host Raft up PARTY at SCYA Commodore Kathy St. Amant’s RASCAL (location TBD)

FRIDAY EVENING 4:30 PM: CIYC No host Happy Hour
Snacks, Games, Fun, Drink of the Day, Raffle

SATURDAY 9 AM: LOCATION TBD Breakfast  put on by our SCYA Staff Commodores, Raffle

SATURDAY AFTER BREAKFAST: Miniature Golf
PRIZES for lowest golf score, highest golf score & most holes in one

SATURDAY 4 PM: CIYC No Host Cocktail Hour

DInner will be a buffet with vegetarian items included

Price is $130 per person for the event
each Commodore may bring one guest

NOTE: this same week end will be Jazz Fest in Avalon. Come early to get a mooring.

If your plan to stay in a hotel, BOOK YOUR FERRY EARLY and use our block of rooms at the Atwater, the Island will sell out.

  SCYA has reserved 15 rooms at the classic Atwater Hotel. It has just recently been refurbished and will provide a wonderful shared experience.
