Our general membership meetings are a great way to stay I contact with other's that love boating, get you questions answered and network with fellow sailors. We have also placed a greater emphasis on providing informative programs and speakers during the luncheon and business meetings.

The recent meeting at DPYC featured Gino Morrilli a well renowned designer and Americas Cup Racer. Gino shared insights on how they design boats that foil. We are truly fortunate to have people like this to draw from as speakers.

Our next meeting at SWYC is scheduled to have a representative of the San Diego Coast Guard Auxiliary. As you may know the Auxiliary exists to support all USCG missions on the water and in the air, except for roles that require "direct" law enforcement or military engagement. This is your chance to find out what direction this branch of service is going. Check back on the registration page to see the exact topic.

You have heard about the Baja Ha Ha and may people who have experienced it. The April meeting will feature our own Staff Commodore Gary Green who just returned from this adventure. And an ADVENTURE IT WAS

 

If you followed the last Trans Pac  you may remember that Roy Disney and the team on Pyewacket dropped out of the regatta early on to go to the aid of a yacht that had sunk. For this selfless effort they were awarded the SCYA Rescue award. At the June meeting you can here from Chuck Clay and some of the Team OEX that were rescued.

On  September 9 at BCYC we will have our old-timer meeting and a great speaker who's name we can't reviel yet.
