In our mission to educate the boating community on revenant issues we recently held our annual medical emergencies at sea seminar at Long Beach Yacht Club. 41 sailors attended to find out what they can do when faced with a medical emergency while on the water. Many of the attendees were getting ready to enter some offshore races and other just wanted to be prepared for their weekends at Catalina. They were not disappointed and took away much valuable information that may keep their crews safe.

We are already looking at possibly holding similar events on other parts of the coast and are planning next year event. This course is thought by medical professionals and is relevant not only to sailors but anyone that travels away from the beaten path like campers and hikers. We will post information about future classes as they become available.

Our next seminar is the Women in Boating Class to be held at LAYC on September 7th. This event was a sell out last year in Marina del Rey and has been moved to San Pedro this year where we can host more students.
