If you are transferring your sail number to a new owner, or your boat was destroyed, please click to use this form. Transfers are free.

Sail Number Fee – A one-time fee of either:

- US Sailing Member 5 digit sail number: $125
- Non-Member 5 digit sail number: $150
- US Sailing Member 4 digit sail number: $1700

NOTE:$25.00 of the fee for the above Sail Numbers goes to the US Sailing Association to support activities of the National Sailing Authority.

1, 2 & 3 DIGIT Sail Numbers are assigned by US Sailing directly. There is no fee for transfer of ownership. If you have sold your boat, or moved out of the area, or if it has been destroyed, please advise the SCYA Service Center.

Area “J” US SAILING sail numbers are issued by SCYA

SCYA is officially verified organization of US Sailing verified to assign numbers, as specified in Appendix G., to Area ‘J’ boats owned by resident members in good standing of yacht clubs affiliated with the Southern California Yachting Association.

WHEN YOU SELL YOUR BOAT OR it becomes unusable (destroyed)

Report to SCYA that you have sold your vessel so your number may be transferred to the new owner or removed from the US Sailing database of active numbers.

Your application will not be considered until payment is received. When you click the SUBMIT button, you will be redirected to the payment page. Both the form and the payment must be received to be considered.
